Studio Tour pots and the OLive Us trailer are out.
The firing came out fairly well. There were no major bad pot and a few that really look good. Here is a sampling.
These are the pots made by the kids from Olive Us. The video is due out this fall. Here is a trailer for season 2 which our piece is part of.

I read Design Mom a lot last year so it’s a bit trippy to see them show up on a family friend’s blog. (This is Bob and Lousie Nickelson’s middle daughter, by the way.) Looks like they had fun!
I am very intrigued by your glazes in this batch. As a new potter I’m curious as to how you did the hand print and what seem to be swipes through the glaze of other pieces. Was it done with wax resist before you glazed or after while still wet?
They are all beautiful pieces. The shallow bowl/platter, third from the bottom is my favorite.

Finger wipes and hand prints are done in wet glaze as it sets on the bisque fired pot.

Wow, Joe! What a treat to see the kids pots are fired up. I can’t wait to show them. They’ll be over the moon! And thank you for sharing the trailer. I really appreciate it.

Wow, that looks like the kids had so much fun! Can I bring my grandkids over for a session next summer? There are 6 of them too. We are always looking for fun things to do in San Pete County in the summer. I own and use some of your pottery. They are some of my favorite things. Thanks for the reminder to buy gifts locally. It is a good thing to support families and friends first.

What fun!
Each of those pots has a unique personality, just like the kids!
Your work is beautiful. I love the markings.
